Default great prices on 4/0 senators on ebay

Ive been doing alot of bidding on ebay lately. and I have bougth 4 penn senator 4/0's for under 25 dollars in the past 5 days and they are in great shape. i love the old classic senators and have offshore fished with senators all my life. Yea I have a set of 4 shimano TLD'S but its something about these old classics. So if your looking for some wire line setups or just some knock around seabassing rods or trollers check out ebay.

Hell, if you are looking for ANYTHING check eBay. I've saved many a dollar there. Picked up a vintage penn squidder 140 a few years ago for $23 after ship. Perfect condition. Caught my very first king mackerel on it 48" fork length.

Cool

Funny how everyone develops a favorite brand rod or reel. For me, it's Daiwa. I love the old 50H Sealine Reels (very much like the Senator 4.0's) One piece frame, metal spool, solid brass gears. And you're right Kracker, eBay is the FIRST place I look for anything fishing or boating. All you have to do is remember the first rule....and that is if you miss something don't worry... another just like it will be along shortly.. so don't ever overbid just cause you think you won't see another.

I second that! last year I bid on an evinrude 9.9 kicker for almost $700. I was out bid and the motor sold for just about $800. I couldn't see blowing that kind of money on an early 80s motor... a month later I won a 94' 15hp evinrude that probably had less than 20 hours on it and in beautiful shape, damn near factory condition for $400 flat out! I started her right up and she ran like a top! The motor was also close by so I just picked it up on the way back from work one day. Ebay and Craigslist are awesome!
