I think it was awesome that you were there with her and were able to read to her Im sure it comforted both of you thru such a hard time. i was able to be by my Grandmothers side when she passed, it helped with alot of closure knowing she left with all of her loved ones around. Im sure your Mother felt the same way knowing her family was there with her. God bless you MJ and your family.

MJ, so sorry for your loss. It's good that you got to share your share your feeling before she went.

I lost my Mom 10 years ago this year, April 10 I took her into ER, June 10 she was gone. Like RKC said it hit me harder weeks and months later how much I miss her. I still do but the good memories come up a lot more than the bad now. I hope they do for you too.

She' smiling down on ya now MJ. It seems you all did a great job of taking care of things in short notice. No wake or big funeral for me either. Dump my ashes in Bull River and go back to the house and have an oyster roast/lowcountry boil while playing the Allman Bros.

Sorry for your lose.I hope you take comfort knowing she is with the angels now.Also be glad you and your family were there to say good bye.when my mother passed i was 90 miles away and only got a phone call.
