MJ, very sorry to read about your mom's passing. I pray you and your family will be comforted as you grieve this great loss together.

thanks all!!!

its only been 64 days since we even were told she had cancer! We are glad it's over for her just wish there was a lttle more time, but i am sure everyone wishes the same thing. at least she went peaceful.
the brothers and i got toghter today to figure thing out, and try to talk my youngest brother calm, he took it the hardest and nothing againest my mom but she did him no good babying him his whole life.at 41 years old he has no dea how to pay bills and stuff. its going to be a hard road for him but its what he has to learn now!! we will advise him and help but he will have to go up and learn and i hope he does!
we are going to the ceramatory today at 2pm to get things done and have mom back about friday they say, then it will be off to new york for her trip home. dam cematery gets $850 to open a 12x12x12 hole m-f $650 more to open on sat or sun!! so we will be going there about next monday.

sorry to rant guys, but really, thanks so much for all you kind words!!

I am sorry for you MJ. Like you said, it was a good thing she went peacefully and now her pain is gone. Glad you got to read that card you made.

Is there going to be a wake?

MJ, really sorry to hear the news about your mom. Take comfort that you were a great son to her and you stayed by her side and did what you could to make her comfortable. Shes in a better place now and not suffering anymore. Praying for you and your family!!

No wake, she stated that if they could not come see her alive, then don't borther when she was dead!! Thats the way she was, and for better or worse i think the same way! I have a small set of close friends (besids you guys!!) and thats the way i like it, if you have no time for me, i have none for you. That said each and everyone of them are very close and mean the world to me! I love them all!

I always thought the wake was just as much if not more for the living to help with the healing and acceptance. But you are respecting her wishes which is best. We would have stopped by if there was one.

If you are like me, it will take awhile to really believe that she is gone.
