I tried to get a close up of it in the last picture, just before the hatch. It's more like a ripple than a pebble...very low, rounded peaks and valleys.. that's the reason I went with the urathane..I'm hoping its going to be softer on the feet.. hard to really tell until I stand on it for a day of fishing/boating. Actually I'm more concerned with how hard it's going to be to clean up blood on the deck.

a light to middle weight power washer may be the trick, but NOTHING works better than WETTING (FLOODING) the blood BEFORE it dries w/a bucket or hose...

Destroyer, I'm REELY impressed w/your work!!...man that looks GREAT!!...YER GONNA HAVE A SUPER CLEAN 21 WHEN YOU GET IT ALL DONE...

It was mentioned above about the hollow space under the capt's chair...this is what I did on my 21...

It's a 3-drawer tackle-hatch...and couldn't have been in a better place....wish I could show you pic w/it open, but you get the idea...like you NEED any ideas!!...LOL!!

The boat already has a salt water washdown setup. Not sure of the condition of the pump, but the motor runs when I put voltage to it, so I think it will be ok. Good idea about hitting the blood early before it drys...and putting blood into the water is never a bad idea... (can you say ...chum slick?...lol)

Reel, after BuckleyJr mentioned that there was a hollow space under the chair (thanks Buckley ) I've been wondering what to do with the space. I love your idea of a tackle storage area. Another project....lol

Things to do still:
Lengthen and mount engine
Shorten and mount radar arch
Mount Antennas
Mount radar
Repair cracks in rod racks
Install bimini top
Mount anchor windlass (Thank you again WellcraftV20step!!!)
Cut and install tackle box under seating area
Install all electronics gear (radar, radio, chartplotter, fish finders, GPS)
Mount downriggers and run power lines to them
Mount kicker engine and connect steering adapter to main engine
<sigh>

Figuring out how to get blood off the deck = A wonderful problem to have!

The floor sure did turn out nice. Looks REALLY GOOD!! Nice job.

Great work, good luck with it.

Thinking maybe use Woody Wax to put a protective coating on it ?
The woody wax sprays on, then you use a soft brush, then rinse and it leaves the wax coating if you never used it.....

Anyway, the deck looks good to go - better than new !

Destroyer, since I just replaced my helm seat, would you like my old cushions? You can have them for free and they are in decent shape. They will fit your helm seat. I'll post pics later this evening.
