Damn.. I threw away a waterlogged expansion tank just like that about 2 months ago... got a brandy new one on my boiler now... <sigh> Great idea though. Nicely thought out. I usually launch in semi-fresh water and run downriver to the ocean, but there's always a trip or two to a salt water launch ramp. Might not be a bad idea. Gotta think about how to rig it up.. are those 180* irrigation nozzles?...and maybe a bigger tank. I reely like the part about washing out the brakes.

those are Xeri spray nozzels made for drip irrigation. they are 180*. a waterlogged tank would not work, you need the bladder to give added pressure as the water is being sprayed. i was thinking about changing the 1" line down the frame to the valve to 2". should give me about 5 minutes of spray vs the 2 minutes i have now. if you have a tank the rest of the materials are bout $20. the tanks run around $50
