| post launch trailer rinsing system

these are some pics of a trailer rinsing system i installed on my trailer. most trailer experts say the most damage is done while you leave your tailer at the ramp for 8-10 hours with salt water drying on it. bladder tank which holds 5-6 gallons pipe running down the frame flex pipe running behind wheels with sprays attached open the valve and spray after you launch go fishing and don't worry about your trailer |

Good idea. I always wash mine off after launch in saltwater. Seems to have made a difference.

That's one of those damn good ideas...and looks like you set it up to accept a hose when you get home...how much pressure on the tank?...

50psi on the tank when empty w 50 psi on the water hose. you fill it at the house until it goes static. the t handle is a threaded plug where i add squirt of soap. also, when i get home and back it in the shed, i just hook up a hose and let it spray for about 10 minutes, then close both valves and it is loaded for the next trip. i don't have brakes, but for you guys that do, you could plumb this into flush ports. the beauty of this is you get a pressurized water source to wash off your trailer with no pumps , wires, batteries, etc. and there is not anything to steal at the ramp. |

Love the design of your self-contained rinse system. Not to mention the concrete filled PVC to keep the trailer from floating and the gussets on the bunk brackets. You sir are crafty.

[QUOTE=phatdaddy;186330] the t handle is a threaded plug where i add squirt of soap. So instead of soap, you could add salt away as well...

Very nice - good way to keep the salt off. Makes me think about keeping a pump tank in the SUV to spray after being in the salt water. |
