Better you found out now rather than spent all that money and then ran into tons of trouble. Just goes to prove that unless you know for sure, a little research BEFORE you buy can save you countless dollars afterwards.

Also the LOWRANCE fuel flow sensors are problematic to say the least. I went through 3 of em before I gave up on it on my boat. As for the network, I would stick with 1 brand as it normally tends to make teh set-up easier.

I have a Lowrance system. They provide everything you need at 30-50 bucks a pop. Fluid level sensor for the tank, engine diagnostics (completely awesome), Fuel flow and all the reg stuff that you get w the standard unit. I have had zero issues. Use 2 LMF-400 gauges with it so my 28C-HD isn't crammed full of info that prevents me from seeing the bottom or the plotter. NMEA, LOVE IT!
