Looking at the vid it's hard to tell... I wish u were closer as I'd be more than willing to look at it in person.... I have to say I'm in the "get a manual" crowd..... I've been bit in the arse before from taking something apart how it looks like it should just to have something stupid break that I couldn't see.
Possibly a visit to your local dealership, buy something, oil, or whatever, and ask for a look at their manual or a printout from alldata. Last edited by smokeonthewater; 02-01-2012 at 11:03 PM. |

Get an Evinrude Service Manual. It will be the best $40 you'll spend. Not sure if this is the right manual but...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1994-Evinrud...item27c2956033 Way cheaper than repairing something you break. Just saw the exploded view of my Merc, and phat is right, you will see all of the parts with pretty good written descriptions . |

Got it! Got the bolts removed. They were stuck to the rubber and didn't seem like they wanted to come. I'd turn them, but they'd spring back into place. Had to turn a little further with a pipe on the end of the socket wrench.
That video definitely worked! I've noticed you get better feedback when you include pictures, and now even more response when you post video. Thank guys. |
