I think it also will depend on what you mean by having it rebuilt. Do you mean bringing the whole boat to a yard or yourself taking the motor out and bringing it to a shop?
You may want to consider just getting a rebuilt motor and putting that in instead of trying to find someone to rebuild your original. I know that is what the previous owner of mine did a few years before I bought it from him and the engine runs great . I just wished he put in a new oil pan ...He had built a frame to mount the chain pull to pull the motor, which I later re-built to use so I could change the oil pain. rkc
