As of right now we're heading down this coming friday. I checked the extended forecast and it doesn't look too bad....fingers crossed.

Kracker I will give you a shout Friday afternoon or Friday evening. Don't catchem all before we get there!!
Yesterday report is a sad one!!!! we hooked on a giant around 8:30 yesterday morning we fought the fish for 45 minutes and ultimately breaking him off. We hooked him on one of our 9/0 on a custom rod that we use offshore for a planer rod it has half a spool of 100# pound mono with a top shot of 65# braid with a 100# leader (crank on). Caught the fish on a 32 ounce mojo chartchruease and white with white shad bodies. BLUERUNNER get 12" inch white shad bodies!!!!! we normally troll 10" inch shad bodies but we switched to 12 inchers for obvious reasons(bigger bait for bigger fish. The main set ups for trolling for these tunas is 16 ounce inline with built in swivels one end to reel mono and the other side 20 ft of 100# mono to a single 24ounce or 26 ounce or 32 ounce parachute rigs with the 12 inch white shad bodies.

Yea call me friday BLUE we have to get up at the ramp and we can head out together.

My Yukon is in the shop right now getting a new fuel pump, shaft seal, and heater valve. Kinda bummed since this is the 2nd fuel pump in about 2 years. Truck was bucking around 50 - 60 mph and increasingly harder to start - 3 turns. Noticed coolant level dropping which was the leaky heater valve. If this fixes it I should have something to tow with. If not it doesn't look good for this weekend....buddies truck has issues also...

if your looking for a cheap decent large reel to use occasionally for the monsters go with a diawa 900h can get a decent used one on ebay for around 40-50 bucks. they hold up pretty good, i have two for shark fishing and they handle as well as my senator 114 6/0, just be prepared to spend another 50 or more filling those bad boys with line.. I been too busy to get the boat prepped to head out of Rudy. but the fish are still there
