8 ft wide, so you are mounting to gunnel height not deck? 11 ft is way up there! My boat on the trailer with the hard top is 11 ft high from the ground. My hard top gives me 6'10" headroom but it is maybe 4 ft tall???

I don't find that my V is tippy but I'm not standing up there.

That's a lot of weight to be putting that high up on a 20....squirrely at best with a 200lb person up there. I think it might work, but I don't think I'd like to be on the boat. Gotta agree with Reel.

Gotta take note of your creativity..........but.......... if you really have to sit high here are my suggestions:

1st choice: Sell the V and buy a boat designed and outfitted with a factory tower.
You may find one as small as 25' that has a small single person set up.

2nd: Put a lightweight but strong hardtop on the V, and outfit with single helm station.
If you're really serious........after you put on the hardtop, bolt on 5 45lb barbell plates
and see how the boat rides with that weight up there to simulate !

3rd: I have no other ideas except...... I'd pass.

Friend of mine has a tower on a 22 footer that measures 13 feet from the ground when sitting on the trailer. Has to be REALLY careful when towing to avoid trees.
