Sad story.
They don't call dogs "Man's best friend" for no reason. They don't live long enough as it is. So sorry for your loss. rkc

Thanks for your sympathetic replies fellas.
We have a baby girl comin in two weeks so it will be a nice distraction. I just wish she could have met the best dog ever....... Wife is doin better though which is great and Ive found other things to keep my mind busy but the nights are the worst. I think it will take some time for his brother to feel better tho. Already he is getting blamed for all the farts and torn up food bags we left out. Again thanks fellas, I didn't mean for this to be so gloom and doom but more of a be thankful for whatcha got kinda thing.......

Destroyer's right...nothing we can say will make it any better...just know that you are among like-minded people here...when we sell this house, it'll be easy walking away from all but the pet-cemetery we started 20 years ago in a glenn down in the woods...several incredibly good friends and wonderful souls there...hope their head stones are never disturbed and they truly rest in peace forever...
I am sorry for your loss...when they go, they leave a void no other will ever fill..really, that's as it should be.

tough break, i've lost a few good ones in the past. they are always glad to see you, no matter where you've been or for how long.
like the old story, lock your dog and your wife in your trunk for 2 hours, when you open it up, guess which one will be the happiest to see you. |
