I'm gonna use external flaps in the splashwell....
I was thinking about cutting a taper to countersink my drains in the wells but I got the idea recently to just sand and fill the well with epoxy flush with the drain.... I prolly won't do that either but ya never know... I could....lol I do think I'll step up to bigger drains... maybe 1 1/4" |

I didn't realize any of the V-20's drained out the side... I thought it was either splashwell for outboards (like mine is) or transom for I/O's. WHOOPS my bad... guess it makes sense tho... the decks in my monte carlo drains out the side but they are WAY above the water level so no worries bout water on em
I'd say maybe the flaps could still be used on the side turned about 45 deg to the rear but I can also see where the spray hitting them at speed might do strange things and definitely no ping pong balls outside there.... I think I've seen thru hulls with the ping pong balls built inside them but the in-lines might just be the simplest plan for exiting the sides. |

I tried these and they just did not work very well, they kept water out, but drained really slowly, now I just put plugs in the drains when we are stopped in the ocean and pull them when water gets on the floor so they drain.
