Well smoke I guess opions fall on how deep your pockets are. In my personal shallow pocket opion those prices are ridiculous. Looking for used and functional. My v is not gonna be in any contests for the prettiest boat.

I would imagine rub rail is one of those items that are hard to find used. When I first looked in to rub rail I thought the prices were ridiculous too, I have now become content that when I change mine it will cost me $150-$200.

I found a guy local thats parting out a v today. Im gonna get the rub rail, teak trims, and a bimini top for 50 bucks. if your patience and keep asking around things will come witch is the reason im doing this project. The only thing im gonna by not used is the cloth and resin. I want this project to be fun and cheap.

Oh I'm certainly not pointing any fingers.. You could easily spend $500 or more on a rubrail if you didn't know where to shop.... I'm building mine on the "stupid cheap" budget plan.
congrats on your find btw |
