Ain't worth a dime. Might as well keep it and take your kid out on it when he is home. Tell him to study hard and get some scholarships!

i'm with RKC and the rest....the 7 to 10K you might get for the boat aint gonna pay for half a year of college....give up the slip, winter storage shrink wrapping and the rest and in 2 years you'll save what you could get for the boat....even mothball it if you had too...no gas expense, 2 stroke oil, bait.....for what you got into it unless you needed it to save the house I would keep it.

Thanks Guy for the input ... if I sounded desperate ...sorry ... I was basically trying to get a feel for what its worth more or less.... by no means am I not getting by... I guess i was venting sort of... I'm fortunate enough to be working everyday and Sue is still teaching.
p.s. i could easily be talked out of selling my baby.

DO NOT SELL YOUR BOAT!
As said above, give up the slip, see if you can find someone to build a shed to keep it under, in 2 seasons you have saved what you would have gotten in the sale.

Don't, put her on a trailer and save as said above. I am in the same boat Kenny, new motor on an older hull, nice hull but you could not sell it today for a fair price.
Keep her on the trailer, you have launches all over by you and use her. JMHO

This is an @ss-backwards idea but what if you sold the etec and put a solid used motor in its place....put some dough in your pocket and still keep the boat. Problem is, you'd still lose money. Dangit, why can't boats/motors be a good monetary investment??
I like the trailer idea too, provided you have somewhere to store it. I am in the same situation with my 2 daughters 14 and 12. Not only is that staring me down but my job is not likely to exist within the next 1 - 2 years. Hoping to scrape by somehow some way.........

Theres an idea. Lumber can sell me his Etec and I'll trade him my 99' 200 Ocean Pro plus cash. Just bolt on and plug in. He gets some cash and keeps the boat and I get a newer motor, win win. Now sell me that Etec Lumber.
