I had a Pursuit 22 Cuddy before the Whaler and while I was working on the v20. Nice boat, a little less deadrise than a V, but rode good with the extra weight of the cabin. Fairly big cockpit and well built..Cuddy was not large enough for an overnighter no matter how calm, or how intoxicated. (might just be me) Nookie potential if you don't use it to store everything known to man.. Fish boxes in the floor worked OK, It needed a baitwell. Not really a walk around IMO. You had to climb up on top to set the anchor with a handrail high enough to catch you mid shin.

My old Grady White (89 Sailfish 25) had the OBs on a bracket. It is unreal how nice it is to have a full transom to lean on when fishing, or sitting on a cooler riding, or keeping big waves out. It had a big fishbox on top of the transom that fit everything I ever caught (big dolphin, king mackeral, piles of grouper).
There is only 2 ways to get that feeling, an inboard big enough for the motors to be below the cockpit, and an outboard on a bracket. Ok, maybe 3 if you get one of those jackshaft setups. Guess I'm more function than style.
