Hey Ferm, I've got a big 3 phase compressor at buddy's shop. I ended up with the thing out of a sale from my old employer when they went out of business. The compressor is so big it has a spin on oil filter on it. The motor is a 5 hp @1750 rpm. I've found a couple of places that offer a single phase 5 and 7 hp replacement motor. Who's motors are good and whos are junk.

Sounds like you have a QUINCY compressor spare. They make top of the line units with pressurized lubrication systems. The compressor I just bought has a century motor on it which is a US made unit, but BALDOR is teh best there is and is what QUINCXY uses. be prepared when you see how much a BALDOR costs though
