One of my 1986 Yamaha 150s did the same thing. But it only did it for 3 weeks then it stopped. But i put atf fluid in it with stop leak to refill it from every time it leaked down. My Yamaha Book says that transmission fluid can be substituted for tilt trim fluid.

showa trim system, welcome to the world of Yamaha repairs(and some OMC's), got three jobs lined up next week for the same issue. Remove the fill cap on the reservoir and fill it with some trim oil, if it has water mixed in with it, you will need to f;lush the water out of it. If it gets too involved, you can remove the whole trim system to work on it at a bench. You will need a spanner wrench to remove the end caps
