Actually when it's extreme low tide I have to be careful how and where I drive the boat in these flats but for the most part the V handles it fine.  Last year we had to get out and push a few times but this year I knew the terrain a lot better. 
  
Most guys go on flats boats.  Some go all out with small super quite Honda Generator, electric trolling motor and all. 
  
Battery and 1 light of the bow and another off one side does it for me.  Current and wind play a big role in how visible it is even at 1-2'. 
  
They will die down rather quickly now that there are a crap load of traps out there.
