Default Using seperate uel can with VRO

I'm trying to isolate what I think might be bad gas, I was thinking of using a seperate 6 gal. can that is full of fresh gas at a 75:1 mix ( a friends )to run the engine along with the VRO hooked up. I know it might be a little rich but if it runs I can get closer to my suspicion of bad gas or water through my stripped gas cap.

That is sort of how I do my first run of the season. I run a 6 gallon portable with 50:1 in it and let the engine oil system do its thing too. It can be a bit smokey but I check to see if the tank on the engine is down to confirm that the motor is getting oil and before I switch over to the main tank.

Then I change the plugs and good for the season.
