Aussie, sometimes I think we all get too involved with our own petty problems to realize that real life has an ugly habit of popping up at the most unexpected and unwelcome times. Hang in there my friend.. my prayers and I'm sure the prayers of all of us are with you. We'll talk again when you get out of the hospital in a day or so. if you dont make it can i have you boat? just kidding. (i couldnt afford the shipping). dont know how they train the down under doctors down there but up here that's a pretty routine procedure. i'm sure everything will turn out right.
before they put you under ask if they can replace your valve with a wallaby valve. i hear those valves really jump.
