Default 2 holes in ear drum

went to the specalist to see about my on going ear problem . When hi checked it with a camera he found that i had 2 holes in it thats why maybe i cant hear from it. I asked him would slag from a welder burm a hole in it . He said yes defently . Well looks like no more welding under cars with out wearing ear protection he said you only have one good ear left now.....has it happen to any off you guys out there it makes u get out from under the car real fast lol............................................... .........................................**** im in the wrong forum thought this was doctors one well thats all i can post at the moment

Well at least you didnt do it to yourself with a soldering iron.....cant say that I ever heard of getting weld splatter in your ear but I guess if it got in there it would definitely do some damage....Do you weld with a full face shield?

yes i do but laying under a car on jack stands makes it hard as u must lay on your side . The first hole was from a infection the secound one was from welding . Well on the waiting list to have them fixed that way i can hear the purr of my 3.7 when i get it going and maybe even the knocks in it lol.**** ill be able to hear the wife better too

I've done it a BUNCH of times myself welding under a car. I sweat BADLY which actually helps as my ear will fill up with sweat and it cools the slag before it can really burb anything. I've also burned my eye before when some solder ran around my glass's and got me, that one HURT LIKE HE!!!
