I just recently bought a 1973 V20 with a 1989 Evinrude 120 VRO, and a '85 EZ Loader double axle trailer. Hopefully it will turn out to be a wise investment, the motor is partially disassembled, why I don't know, neither does the current owner, he acquired it as payoff to a debt and know's nothing about boats.

Hi. Welcome to the site. Most, if not all, your Wellcraft questions will be answered here..... (maybe not correctly, but answered)....

![]() Seriously though, there are some pretty smart people here with tons of experience with these boats. Anything from a 140 - 200 hp is a good sized engine for these boats, so you should be be fine with the engine you have, as long as it's ok. Cheers...

Just got her home, now the fun begins. I am looking forward to this. Guess I should tell my wife about her before she gets home. I am sitting here going through the paperwork that I received with her, It is nice that everything is documented, So I know what has been done,

Took the cowling off tonight and tried to figure out exactly what's missing from under there. I have been looking through posts of rebuilds and have come to the conclusion that the starter and fuel pump are missing, who knows what else. I am no marine mechanic but I am going to try to get her back operational myself. I know the power packs are unbolted and the heads are loosened, I will tighten them up and check compression and go from there.
