We could do a $10 or $20 a man into the pot and do a biggest fluke tournament or figure how to include stripers by size against state record in there also.
In July down there stripers will be fewer and far between, you would have to go outside which is easy enough. Barnegat has not been that good for stripers for my buddy down there for a few years, usually a night thing and very early morning along sod banks with an occasional weakie in the mix , just outside the inlet along the rocks is where most of the big stripes can be found. Sea Bass will be outside if you make a run to some wrecks. Fluke will be scattered all over inside and out and blues will be all over.

Or... Head thru the canal up to the manasquan river... Lots of fluking opportunities and the patio is there too... Don't ask how I know where all the waterfront bars are..

Going through the canal on a Saturday afternoon is an adventure itself. I never get the tide at my back.

A couple of times I made that long slow no wake ride it was not worth it to me. If we are in the main bay we are within a pretty short run to just about anything fishing wise and probably a lot of other places to hang. Tice's to hang and raft up, short run to good fishing along banks and channels, the whole area inside the Barnegat Inlet and of course the inlet itself and outside for deeper water. Pretty good mix.

Hopefully Rob Wilson will chime in on the camping spot he had last year, he said that was nice and there was a launch near or in it. I believe it was just across the bay from the area we are talking about

Here's the link to the campground we stayed in the last 2 years. Pretty close to the Barnegat Bay area. They have boat parking (extra fee of course) and its a mile or so to 2 ramps that I know of. I have been using a place called Downes Fish Camp but there also appears to be 2 marinas in Lanoka Harbor that have ramps as well. http://www.cedarcreeknj.com/index.htm http://www.bing.com/maps/default.asp...Camp&mkt=en-US
