Interesting.
Well, I've never had an extended stay there  BUT, you hear stories all the time about folks having to adapt to modern changes and stuff once they get out of the slammer. Looks and sounds real to me. If he's messin with ya, what exactly does he expect to gain besides an extremely mild chuckle only heard by he and you? I vote it is legit.
