Still considering it, it's cheap but small and it will probably take just as long as sanding. As of right now it looks like I will be under the boat with my respirator and DA sander for days. I sanded the fouling paint from the sides of my boat before I painted it and it sucked. I don't expect it to be easy.

Have you thought of blasting the hull with crushed pecan or walnut shells?

I have not, it was my understanding soda was the best method. I have not heard much about other blasting methods. Do you have some input on the matter?
