Great post, Spare!!...for those coming to Charleston, study these links for lots of useful info...

The Charleston Harbor link...ZOOM in on that chart to reveal Shem Creek location and channel...there are markers over there and genaerally you should follow that bank...cutting across behind crab bank should be Ok, particularly at higher tides...dead low, I would avoid it...following the bank will take you in the direction of the Intracoastal Waterway heading North....

Gonna be FUN, Guys!!...brang ya party hat!!...

Wish i had my v up and running we go to Charleston every year for spoleto but never been on the water.I will be in Columbus GA for an air show that weekend. Shem creek grill is good place to eat restaurant has a dock. If any one goes into town the saffron grill is excellent next to collage and inexpensive. Poogans porch on Queen st is also very good. also the hunley and magnolia plantation are worth seeing birds are nesting and camellias should be in bloom at magnolia and the hunley is amazing to see the technology from the war. you all have fun now.
