I have decided to go with the Garmin 4210, Its a bit big for my 23 footer but I have also decided to sell my Furno radar and go with the Garmin radar in the same unit to free up space for the larger unit.

So I have a lot of work this spring!! I am swapping out the 4 stroke that I installed last year as it is way heavy and putting a HDPI on there that should get my scupers out of the water.
Add the new radar and Gps and a few smaller things.

Now if we can get rid of this SNOW!!

I had an early version Garmin 2006 with the 8" screen. No interface with Radar but the unit was very nice and always performed well. The analog depth finder was not the best but they have improved them. Besides you don't want the depth finder anyway. I liked the number pad for entering waypoints. You will love it, very intuitive. The radar setup is very nice looking as the only time I see it is at West Marine when I visit. For a few dollars more you can have XM radio and you would be able to link the HPDI up to it as well.

Joe,
I think you'll like the radar overlay for navigation. I just hope it meets your expectations as far as finding birds etc (if you use it that way for fishing?).
I really like the Garmin units but I'm not into fishing (gasp!). I assume your going to keep your fish finder separate (which is a good idea from what I heard from others that fish).

What size HPDI? We had a 200 HPDI on our Parker. It was a great motor. We only ran it for 2 seasons but it never missed a beat. Would love to have that motor on our V 20. That would be a sweet set up!!

All together now...............THINK SPRING!!!

I have had a few Garmins before and like them also!! As far as the radar I hope it will be fine, as I do not use it much, Just when the fog rolls in, so I am sure it will be fine.
I have a Furuno Fish finder and it is the best I have ever had!! I have no intention of getting rid of it! I really hate to have all in ones, but really needs the room on the dash for a 10" screen and the radar is the least used and I am sure will be fine.

The HDPI is the 200hp and it will be a loss of 25hp to me but the weight difference will be great for my boat
