It's an awesome boat for that area, I had many years personal experience fishing the bay right where you want to fish. Go for it!

I don't know diddly about that area, but I can tell you that generally speaking, the V20 is one of the best boats for it's size that's ever been built. It's a good rough weather/water boat, but like any other 20' boat, you're not going to want to be out in 5 foot waves. Always use caution and keep your weather radio on at all times.

I'm just north of there near Smith Point light and it's a great boat if you pick your days... very stable!
