I use a Lowrance M68C GPS/Fishfinder. Features are good and menus are easy to navigate. I don't use all features,. Mostly Split zoom Fishfinder, Split Map/FF, and when running to a far wreck I'll use the Nav screen to stay on track. The "crumb trail" is the best invention ever. Shows you exactly where you've been drfting.
Only problem I've had in 6 years was I had to replace the tranducer because the plug was disintegrating. I didn't (and still don't) have the power on a dashboard switch, so it is live and getting wet and corroding when the unit is unplugged.
I mounted the replacement transducer inside the hull with gel resin and it works great there.
Bought the replacement transducer on Lowrance web site, no problems there.
No complaints from me about Lowrance...

I have power 24/7 to mine also and no problems, a bit of Elet grease goes a long way!
But my boat is on a trailer also?

What ever FF works for you is a keeper! Ask 100 people get 100 answers
