Evinrude 130 fuel problem

sounds like a bad primer bulb.

check the fuel conenctor on the engine, it may not be all the way on, it may look like it is, but pull it off and put it back on, making sure its goes all teh way, also make sure it goes on the correct way, some of them will go on either way(don't ask how I know these things)

It looks like I will be pulling the heads. I just noticed a milky substance on one spark plug. I plan on doing a compression test first.

Just finished the compresion test, 125-135psi except the cylinder with the water mix had 50psi.

you may get lucky with just a new headgasket or it may have either a hole in the head or the cylinder wall.

Pulled the head yesterday, cylinders appear great. Still see the crosshatch pattern after 600hrs. Head gasket obviously bad. A new one will be here in a week or so. We will see after the install.

Got the gasket in today so I installed it. Amazingly everything appears to be good to go. I started the engine and let it warm up to temp then did a comp test. Back to 125psi on the now not milky cylinder. I ran it for 30 or so minutes in the yard then did another comp test.

Looks like I am lucky.
