That worked really well.
I was on a head boat one time when a guy ended up with a big ole single hook in his hand just about where that guys was. One of the mates came over and without saying a word, pulled out his plyers, grabbed the guys hand, pushed the point through, cut it off, pulled the shank out, put away his plyers, went back to untangling lines.

my god lumberslinger, that was
 awful...Now I fear I will hook my dog in the eye. (Yes I will still take the dog fishing, but I am always fearful and careful about hooks, now even more).
