The previous owner of mine used it for diving. He didn't make any mods to it other than a good swim ladder. He kept the extra tanks in the "fish holder".

When I was looking to buy a V I ran across one with some tank holers setup just above the rod boxes on each side. It had capacity for like 3 or 4 on each side.

Something like this:

i dove out of mine for about 10 years, no real mods were necessary. i cut a piece of plywood to fit the cavity between the "bunks" and then cut holes to set tanks upright in the cabin. i also installed 4 tank racks in the cockpit that would hold a tank w/bc. that gave you out of the way storage for 8 tanks and the floor box was for weight belts fins etc. agree with rkc a good swim platform is also needed. i also added a stainless "handicap" hand rail to the transom to pull yourself up and a ladder you can use with fins on. this is the only photo i have hand, but you can see the grab rail on the stern

Thanks for the replies. I think a set of suction cup type tank holders on each side would do it for the tanks. I like hammer's dive platform. Personally, I prefer entering the boat over the gunnel, using my fins to propel me up & over... but my wife, prolly not.

Thats a very nice set up. If you are looking for tank racks I mounted one of these above each rod box. fit great and you can slide all different attachments in them...cleats, rod holders they may even have cup holders now.
