You guys are correct.I will go with the plan of mounting just 1 of the engines. My thinking is that if the boat tag says 215 hp max then I need to get as close to that number as possible.I have controls and such for these engines. One thing I cant figure out is why the tag states 750 lbs max for persons and gear.I have a 14foot thundercraft that the tag says 1100 lbs?-How on earth the gilligans island boat could carry more weight than the wellcraft has gotten me more confused.I am a rookie when it comes to boating.

I do not think you need to get as close as possible to the Max H.P. I was just thinking the 100 would be a cheap way to get you out on the water, and would definitely be a better option than the old 60 h.p. Gale you were thinking about. I think you are right that a 150-200 h.p. outboard would be WAY better than the old starflite 100, but if you're just looking to get on the water, on a plane, and at the lowest possible price, the starflite and controls you already have fit that bill. Good luck with it, let us know what you end up doing, and post some pics if you can.

Phew...... thank God!!!!!.. He has controls.... Now I won't have to go digging in the dungeon. I never know what I'm going to find when I start looking through the milk crates. Too often it's a small left handed doohicky that I probably should install in the flux capacitor or an unfinished thermonuclear bomb or some such triffle.

(I hate it when I find those)...

Has anyone watched Warehouse 13 on the Science Fiction Channel? I think they used my dungeon as the basis for the show. <sigh>
