they are good motors. Thirsty but good. I think they are some of the best sounding motors out there. The only problem you might have is in the lower unit. They have a problem with corrosion where the water pump bolts to the gearcase. If the lower unit hasn't been replaced yet,remove it and replace the water pump. Before you put the new pump on clean up the corrosion and coat the area with a good sticky gasket sealer to slow down the corrosion. Other than that I think you'll be happy with it.

From what I've read, they will push a V-king about 90 mph with the right prop.
