sounds like the low speed windings in the stator, look under the flywheel for melted potting material, looks like glue, or look for burnt wires on the windings

Looks like it might be the trigger? Everything else check out with the ohm meter fine. We went off the troubleshooting checklist for the motor on CDI's site
