I believe a capacity plate was not required in 20' and above.
Found the following on another site: http://www.boat-ed.com/fl/course/p2-...urcapacity.htm "Although federal law requires capacity plates only on boats less than 20 feet in length, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) requires a capacity plate on all boats less than 26 feet in order to be certified by NMMA." Mine doesn't have one. There is a rule of thumb on calculating the load based on lengthXwidth/15. Granted cooler, fish.... need to be subtracted from this. |
