Prior to about 98 they were called JOHNNY-RUDES for a reason, they were identical under the cowling. 88-91 for the 200/225 is my personal favorite of them, and the 91+ 150/175 60 degree looper is another one you can't go wrong with. If you're not in a hurry and don't mind going slower then don't rule out the 88+ 140HP V-4. The earlier 86-87 200/225's were actually the best on fuel, but they would have one foot hanging over the cliff using spares comparison as they made there HP with aggressive porting whereas the 88+ made it with more displacement.
