yes, you can get shorter cables, how long do you need, I have teh ones that came off my McKee, I moved the console fwd and switched to a Merc, so I had to buy new cables

My console is the forward model.
 I can measure tomorrow, but i'd def. take those cables off of your hands if they will fit. Let me know what you want for them. I'll trade you if you want longer ones. These are prolly off of a 18-20ft boat.

the ones I had were far shorter. You can find the cables on line for around $25-$30 each, if you can't locate them, let me know
