RKC - I've got a 74 V20 Cuddy with a 1989 3.7L (165hp) motor. I bought the boat in the fall and haven't had her overboard yet, and am anxious to see how well it performs. Since your rig is similar to mine performance-wise, was wondering if you could tell me what your top top end, cruise speed, and fuel consumption for both are?

Also, since I'm up in your neck of the woods (NH).....could you tell me who I'd have to whack to become a Northern Mafia member?

Welcome to this site yodaddy, I am also relatively new to the site and my boat. I just got it last fall and had it out 3 times. Can't really say what the top speed was, fuel consumption etc except that it certianly went fast enough for me on Buzzarsds bay and it appears it is very good at fuel consumption. I think you will be very satisfied with the performance.

Not sure if we have NH member other than you, so you may be all set.

Thanks for the response and welcome. My 3.7L is a low hour motor (<200hrs) I'm pulling out of a Larson I bought for the motor. It pushed the Larson at 47mph on the GPS, so am hoping I can get near 40 mph on the V20. We'll be fishing offshore in the V this year, and it'll be nice to have some get up and go should we ever need it.

I've read just about everything available on this site, and if I recall correctly, you had posted that you were thinking of hitting Stellwagon Bank some time in the future. My brother and I are going to fish Stellwagon for tuna this year, perhaps we could meet up out there sometime.
