Yeah, I'm thinking the new engine nowadays will have electrical plugs for the harness. it'll be a task I'm definitely going to do ;-)

Make sure it doesn't void the warranty...when I purchased a new Yami 150 they said they would allow me to install myselft but that I would have to have it checked out and "certified" as properly installed by a licenced Yami shop.

I ended up finding a shop that rigged it for me for cheap.

I mounted my DF 140, twice (once on my old old boat and once on my new old boat), nothing to it really, 4 bolts on the transom, connect steering, 2 bolts for the remote and plug it in.

The only slightly tricky part was setting the height, but thats not bad either.

I wouldn't want to do it without an engine hoist of some type, they are cumbersome.
