I had the same problem.
If you ever had water in the gas, some of that water got to the carbs, because some water particles "hang floating" in the gas and get to the carbs.
One clogged main Jet on one carb, renders that carb cylinder dead, and the engine will ride "smooth" on high rpm, but for each clogged carb you will have a dead or weak cylinder.
So cleaning the carbs is a very good idea.
So it is to fully cleaning the tank and the fuel lines and filters.
On two strokers, fuel mixture is VERY critical for power and lubrication. I remember when I used to fly R/C airplanes, where you have full control of the mixture on the motor, it was VERY important to set the mixture right or the engine will run weak or too powerfull and eventually loose comprression.

Well I got the gasket kits today to take the carbs off and clean them. Thanks for the replies and i will let you know how it goes.

Well due to some offshore trips I finally got the carbs removed and cleaned. I found the float on the bottom carb stuck down. Fixed that and cleaned all the jets and reinstalled. Ops checked the boat today. Ran great. Thanks for the advice..
