Don't you know the Secret Service is suffering. Protecting the current POTUS would be one hell of a busy detail. I cannot believe they would let this guy get to within 100 yards. Dollars for doughnuts they had more than a single set of cross-hairs on this guy the entire time. I applaud him for exercising his right to open-carry but wonder about his mental state.

It don't appeal at all, I agree. FL is a conceal carry state with license and that ain't allowed.

the only problem with guns at the schools around here has been with the Goose Creek City Police missuse of fireams at Stratford High School a few years back.

Let's say your morning routine is to drop your 2yr old and 4yr old off at daycare every morning before you go to work...you have walked them into the daycare building and while yer sayin' yer howdydos to the staff and kissing the loves of your life goodbye for the day, a guy walks in wearing a loaded handgun strapped to his thigh.

Some on this thread advocate it's OK to wear weapons on your person in open, public places. I'm just wondering if a daycare center is an appropriate place for one to demonstrate that right...just because he can.

And keep in mind, you don't know this person, don't know his background, training in gun-saftey or anything else about him.
