Removing or rotating this fuel tank fitting

if your afraid it will not rotate, you could plumb a couple of 90's and a nipple w coupler to go the other way. it should rotate though....
shoot some pb blaster on it a let it set for a while.

It will come out. I pulled mine out several months ago.

Why are you pulling it out? It is just a straight aluminum tube to the bottom of the tank. Like phatdaddy said just put some fittings on it.
