Welcome to the madness!! My wifes family is from Halifax!
Replace the whole steering this way you know what you have, and as said it is cheaper that way. Go NFB unless you have $$$ for Hydraulic. Fish Finder was installed by one of the last owners. My boat was from the 70"s and had no pumps so I am no help there. and I also don't pulll anything but fish lines so ski wil have to come from another. Good Luck O Yea

Thanks for all the advice guys, I pulled the steering apart and the actual cable inside the tube broke, the date on the original was 1987 so it was time to break. I ended up getting a new cable system through a friend at wholesale pricing. We intalled that and took it for another test drive, but on the way back we had engine troubles. We think we've picked up water in the fuel (or that's what we're hoping).
The 3 quick drives we've had in the boat, it's awesome. Thanks for the bildge pump in the livewell, I think I'll re-install one. Hopefully we'll get it all working soon. Thanks for all the help, I'm sure I'll ask more questions and I will post pics soon.
