Apparently, just like with Lumber's ETEC, the set up is critical, maybe a little too much critical because I have heard of three others the past year or so that blew power heads in the first couple of months of operation. That just does not seem right that in the small circles I am in to hear that.

the 2.6's are solid, just let them spin dont lug them. also if you dont get a ext warr BUY ONE for as long as they let you!! i cant stress this enough.

After finding a good dealer i couldnt be happier with my motor and wouldnt hesitate buying another.

Mac put a 150 etec on his and has been happy as Slinger w/his...I talked to a guide the other day...had one on his boat and said he would never own anything else...find a good, reputable dealer and get the best deal you can...
