Is the combined weight of those 5 adults and a child the usual amount of weight you will load your boat with? Or is it just a once in a while thing. I have found that with two or three guys on board vs 4 or 5 will make a difference in the wot rpm's.. It will vary from 5200 to 5800 just by adding another person in the boat, or a heavier load. tents, chests, etc. Check the rpm's at your usual capacity to figure the average for getting the best prop for your normal usage. If you add a larger amount of weight on an occaisional basis, it should not harm your motor at all....

I'm trying a Power Tech 14.25 x 18 4 blade stainless on a 85 V20.
Will post numbers when I can. Having t-top built and boats at the shop.....
