Explain the leak better for us. When exactly does it leak? Only with the engine running? Will it leak with it not running? If it only leaks while it is running, pull it out of the water and run it on a hose and see if it still leaks. You first need to isolate wether it is a hull leak or a cooling system leak and go from there. If it is a cooling system leak then let it sit for awhile and dry off and empty the bilge of water. Then run it for a few minutes and watch to isolate where the water is coming from on the engine.

Wink water leak

excellent idea. will connect with hose with dry bilge, engine running & look for engine leaks. that should isolate it to hull fittings or bell housing. noticed pickup for live well pump is below bell housing, that may also be the culprit thanks again fellas will return with findings asap richard

look at the exhaust tube, from the riser down to the transom plate, it a has a joint about halfway down that could be leaking. Check teh rubber exhaust hose connections, they coiuld be leaking while the engine is running. ALso pay attention to the area around the input shaft, where it comes thru tha transom plate. One more place to look is move the water hose on the outside of the transomplate, where it sits up against the out plate, it can pocket corrosion behind it and you won't see it till you move the hose
