thats funny, it looks like it was staged though, unless GW liked to keep his phones under his desk. I think lobbying has a place. NRA, AARP, etc. If judges would just use the constitution to decide instead of their political point of views the world would be a better place. for example, gun ownership, free speech.

Lobbyist should be able to use verbal persuasion ONLY no matter what their cause...when money comes into the picture, democracy goes out the window...it has no place in deciding our laws and how we live and where our money goes...there should be a whole lotta people in jail...b@$$tards!!...

did ya'll happen to read the amount of money from the tabacco companies that were "donated" to the campain funds of the 17 congressmen that voted against the new tabacco legislation? Its a staggering amount of money. The whole campain fund thing is nothing more than selling votes for cash.

As strange as this sounds...presidential campaigns should be gov't funded $100,000 ea and last only two weeks prior to election...candidates would have to pass scruples testing prior to eligibility...and we wouldn't be subjected to TWO YEARS of lies and false promises...

I also think state and federal withholding of taxes should be discontinued...if all had to sit down and cut a check from your gross income, there'd be a revolution that would start on the front steps of the IRS!!...
