look at the motor bracket is at the top of the transom, lol i bet the transom is 24 to 30 inches deep lol. If it's a true gov commerical hull it will be unrated and has a thicker hull plus they have extra floation, so yes it would work and be legal only if it is a true ex-law boat.

...explains on plane, but how does it do at rest ...probably why it's in such good shape...experiment gone bad...too big a motor made using it impractical, so nobody did...

I think the seller has lost his mind with the price, those V-8 OMC's were last made in what, 87, 88?
Thats a 20 year old rig.

i think Johnson made a 250 v-8 till 97-98 or so
